چکیده
In order to define a procedure for integrity assessment of pipelines and determining the fracture mechanics parameters, new type specimen with sharp notch, Pipe Ring Notched Tension (PRNT) specimen, is tested. The aim study determine influence geometry (cylindrical shape, as well number length stress concentrators) on parameters such force, Crack Mouth Opening Displacement CMOD, Tip CTOD J integral. specimens were fabricated by an additive production method - selective laser sintering (SLS). EOS Formiga P100 machine used, material polyamide PA12. addition specimens, Single Edge (SENT) identical cross section also considered. All tested universal tensile testing machine. A tool specially designed apply contact pressure inner walls in tension direction was simulating internal pressure. For field displacement strain surface samples that occur during loading, Aramis GOM 2M optical measurement system used. applied determination parameters: CMOD (based δ5 concept). examination properties additively manufactured PA12, main topic this work development non-standard procedure, which will be subsequently cut from metallic or non-metallic pipes. As important part calculation conducted based results presented here.

Homogenization of material properties in additively manufactured structures
Additive manufacturing transforms material into three-dimensional parts incrementally, layer by layer or path by path. Subject to the build direction and machine resolution, an additively manufactured part deviates from its design model in terms of both geometry and mechanical performance. In particular, the material inside the fabricated part often exhibits spatially varying material distribut...
متن کاملTensile Fracture Behavior and Failure Mechanism of Additively-Manufactured AISI 4140 Low Alloy Steel by Laser Engineered Net Shaping
AISI 4140 powder was directly deposited on AISI 4140 wrought substrate using laser engineered net shaping (LENS) to investigate the compatibility of a LENS-deposited part with the substrate. Tensile testing at room temperature was performed to evaluate the interface bond performance and fracture behavior of the test specimens. All the samples failed within the as-deposited zone, indicating that...

Honeycombs resemble the structure of a number of natural and biological materials such as cancellous bone, wood, and cork. Thick honeycomb could be also used for energy absorption applications. Moreover, studying the mechanical behavior of honeycombs under in-plane loading could help understanding the mechanical behavior of more complex 3D tessellated structures such as porous biomaterials. In ...
